I'm completely new to these forums, but I've been idly browsing the site for quite a while. I think one summer a few years ago I was surfing the internet for good prank phone calls, and came across the PLA's theater prank page. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life. You guys are awesome.
Anyway, I'm gonna have some downtime coming up in June, and I'll be flying back home. I figure it'll probably get boring fast, so I want to get a scanner and just have some fun with local frequencies. Is there any particular kind of scanner you guys would suggest?
This is one I've taken a look at, to give you an idea of what I'm looking for. I don't want anything
too pricey, but at the same time nothing too cheap to the point that it wouldn't be worth my time.
Also, I came across a website that allowed to search for local frequencies in your town. I bookmarked it, but my computer took a total dump a couple months ago and I lost everything. I haven't been able to find the website again. Does anyone know where I could find a website like that? I google searched, but I couldn't find what I was looking for.
