i was thinking about recent phone loser antics, and a couple of other recent things i find rather entertaining, and possibly worthy of entering in the talk, include Brad's defeat of Bell Canada's voice authentication in PLA Radio #17 (not roll-on-the-floor hilarious like a prank call, but uber-freaking-cool), and possibly, depending on what recordings people have, maybe parts of the craigslist free stuff radio pranks that people have been doing lately on Skype and the 218 bridge.

I wasent aware of these craigslist calls...im assuming they are somewhat clever?

parts of them are...i don't know how much of them are recorded.  they involve convincing people that PLA members are part of a radio show, and getting them to sing really badly and/or say weird shit in order to win electronic devices and components.

Yup. These are direct rips from the DVD's that were being sold at the con. I am still waiting for mine. 

You might want to check with Rob though, I talked to him, I think his file size is smaller.

I'm okay with the file size.  Wow, the sound quality sure sucked on the official video.  Luckily Jammie's sound quality is okay.  I can just drop her audio on top of the official video so it won't sound like that.

I just got the offical video in my USB Nub too. I heard about this but now I have proof that turning had that worst camera man on the planet. I cannot wait for your abridge version, that and I have to find the dreadlocked bastard and smack the shit out of him.

There's the Jammie version, reduced to 10 minutes.  I mostly kept in the parts that got the most laughs, applause or just sounded good.

By the way, I'm moving this post to the regular board since the panel planning details aren't such a secret anymore.

This is better quality than my rip, so I guess my utter failure to get RBCP a copy wasn't such a bad thing.

Also, apologies for my general deer-in-headlights-ness at the beginning.  The spotlights threw me off, and my eyes totally failed to adjust, hence the cool shades.  All in all though, I had a total blast.  Thanks, everyone!

Reviewing the video a second time makes me realize my favorite part of it all: Murd0c declaring his pink PLA shirt to be the only one in existence.

Because it's too soon, I'll ask now. Any plans on showing up to HOPE 2009? Because, y'know, I'll have money to be there and stay quiet in a public setting. It'll be like me on the forum, only I'm paying to do it in real life.

So murd0c, did you guys lose the 2 CDs I sent with PLA clips on them?  Seemed like you were just playing clips off the regular Media DVD.  All my work making clips, wasted!
