Besides a nifty digital cover, is there anything even in the book worth reading? I'll pick up a copy of the magazine if it talks about technology it self beyond the simple scope of adding the ability to do childish trinkets of giving the magazine a flashing cover.

Other wise I'll just hunt down a few issues and start selling them on Ebay in a few months. It can't be that hard at all to replace the batteries in the books without too much noticeable damage going on.

I'm more interested in the technology that things like this will hopefully make possible in the near future. I'm thinking a more advanced one with higher resolution graphics and colour, combined with those flexible plastic circuit boards they put in disposable cameras could be cool. A flash drive could provide storage space.

I looked through Esquire today and it's really boring.  Their flashy cover got me to buy a lot of copies, but it didn't make me actually like their magazine.   blogs > magazines

They still did a great job in the 70's with Secrets of
the Little Blue Box, though.  If you haven't read that yet, then drop everything you're doing and read it now.
