I dialed in last night until my cordless died...and I did... finally... hear a few people join in and for like almost 2 minutes it was cool... 7 people were on and the inevitable mention of spoofcard came up and then...

everyone left...

except one dude that kept playing sound clips... over and over... and over...

I fell asleep at some point and woke up to RBCP's voice convincing someone to connect him to a random room...

Overall it was a sad, disappointing, and mildly disturbing night... in other words: a regular night at the maddox house.

Maybe we need a new bridge that's not so public... invite only... and filter out the idiots that would make bomb threats and such.

I thought about buying us a conference that had dial out and everything but I couldn't find anything that was reasonable. Maybe somebody with an asterisk box that was REALLY nice could set us up with a number we could dial into. If it HAS to be reachable toll free we could always register it to GOOG411 using some kind of obscure phrase so that it could be reachable with no cost. Of course, we could also just find some other free con site and not tell anyone about it except those that need to know even easier.
