My name is Magus. That's short for Magus Sebastian.

The "Sebastian" part is pretty obvious. As you probably guessed, that's my real first name. The "Magus" part may surprise you. Or not.

As a sort of reverse-joke, I decided to start making fun of the furthest thing away from Christianity, which is Satanism. So I started calling myself "Magus Sebastian Anderson, High Priest of X" (I would change the X to different things like "High Priest of the PLA" or "High Priest of Tacos"). This name was a spoof on Peter H. Gilmore's title, which is Magus Peter H. Gilmore, High Priest of the Church of Satan.

Somehow the name, which was originally just a joke, stuck. And now I usually just go by "Magus".

Anyway, that's how I got my name. What about you?

Interesting, I just thought you liked it better than your real name. 

I use to own a small development studio called Sidepocket Games and since I was retaining rights to it and had accounts as "Sidepocket" already the name stuck. The name came from the idea that we would assist other companies in creating their games, hence they would be the main pocket and we would be the "side" pocket.

However around people that do not know this, they have turned it into a backronym because I tend to carry things in my pockets and in my tote bag.

Lestan Gregor is an alias of Lestat de Lioncourt. He has many international bank accounts under several names, and in Tale of the Body Theif he uses it to route money to a man whom he made a deal with to switch bodies.

Needless to say, hilarity ensued.

I got my name because I work for a government agency based in New York City. We track UFOs...ahem uhh actually when I watched Men in Black I decided to use MIB.
