The Manhattan Project
« on: January 14, 2009, 09:03:03 PM »
Ever seen a movie called The Manhattan Project?  It came out in 1986 and it's about a kid who builds a working atomic bomb for his science fair.  It's got a lot of nerdy, hackerish stuff in it.  It's on Hulu this week, so I'm watching it now.  I haven't seen it since the 80's, but so far it's held up well.  Go watch it.

That was a good movie. I remember bucky balls and a flash timer that shorted out because of the radiation. Now I want to watch it again...
Jesus Fucking Christ! Are you an idiot or just trying to be funny?

Woot! Thank you for finding this.

Not only was this a good movie, but I had to get familiar with it because of the Hotel Penn thing. The whole science fair in the basement was in the hotel.

Since you found it online, this makes campaigning for it easier. Thanks.  ;D

I'd forgotten how bad the soundtrack to it was.  And how unrealistic the plot.  Still a fun movie to watch though.  The eavesdropping nerds were the best.
