I am wondering if someone can help me. My router went out so someone that works for AT&T gave me a router. It says Netopia on it and it is a Motorola 3347-02-1006L.  I hooked it up in place of my Westell modem and it works,but I don't know how to make it work as a wireless router. It came with no instructions or anything. I found a model number similar to mine so I may try those instructions. I just wanted to know if anyone has this type router and might could help me. My old router was a old Linksys so this is somewhat different to me. I know everyone on here will think I am stupid,I probably am, but I've been reading these boards off and on for a few years and God knows if anyone could help me,it would be someone on here.

I had it hooked up last night, I couldn't get my laptop to work with it. I want it to work because I am tired of seeing all the Cat 5 every where in the house. I don't know much about this type of thing. I just want it to work like my old router did. My 2 kids each have a desktop and I have a laptop. I made sure I got the right software from HP for my laptop when I tried the new router the other night so I don't know what I am doing wrong. The kid's computers still worked okay but mine did not.

That sounds nightmarish. You should try heroin, it takes alot of this pain and discomfort away.

Its not really nightmarish,its just annoying. I live in a house that was built in the late 60's so the bedrooms are really small. My 17 year old bought a new full size bed and she couldn't move anything around because the computer had to sit in one place because of the line coming up through the floor. I just thought it would be nice to go wireless again so she could move her room around so she could have some room.
