For some strange reason, a guy who runs
www.party934.com decided that I should have my own hour-long show each week. I accepted and did my first one last night. This is a streaming internet station, but it is also rebroadcast on an actual radio station in Hudson Valley, NY. They say I can do anything I want, but I'm required to play at least 1 song every 15 minutes. They're licensed to play commercial music, but are preferring that I play as much independent stuff as possible.
I don't know what to do with it though. Last night I played a lot of music, broke in every once in awhile and begged listeners to call me so I could put them on the air but nobody did so altalp called in and pretended to be a listener who hated me. (You
were pretending, right altalp??) I also played a few PLA prank calls in between every couple songs. I've got my 2 computers set up with Skype so I can take calls on the show, but I guess not that many people are listening at 2am - 3am Eastern time.
What should I do with this? Just take calls for an hour? Play old PLA Radio stuff and prank calls? Phone-related music? And I should have a name for the show. On the stream I called it The Phone Show, which is pretty generic. I set up
a page for it and renamed it to The Bueno Phone Show, but now I'm thinking that sounds pretty retarded. Give me ideas for next Tuesday morning!
