I've got two sitting in my living room right now. Well, two and a half. Have the coin box and the shell for one, but none of the actual phone stuff.

Need to actually make that table I made mention of a while back.

From the description:

I guess since it is a "real commercial payphone" it must not work. Otherwise, you'd get free shipping.

Oh, wait. "- Refurbished to working condition." I think there is some deception going on here somewhere...

Heh. Though it does say it has a real working phone jack and it's ready to accept coins.

The pay phone I bought from Bell South doesn't need coins, but it'll take them and drop them into where the coin box should be.  If you pick up an extension phone while you're dropping in coins, you'll hear the appropriate red box tones.  It's basically a giant, heavy, coin-operated red box.  I could lug that thing around to pay phones and make free calls with it.  Bell South sold me a toll fraud device.  I bet I could technically be arrested for having it.

I want to see this in picture form. Do it. Revive the red box. Again. Or something. Did it ever really die...?

In 2004 they removed all their pay phones and sold them to the public.  I think I paid just $100 for it, including shipping.  And probably half of that money was for shipping.

Now get a picture of you lugging said phone to another phone and then duct taping the mouth and ear piece together for the sake of clarity with your pay to use red box.

Also drag a 40,000' phone line with you so you can use the phone in case of emergencies.

If you pick up an extension phone while you're dropping in coins, you'll hear the appropriate red box tones.

Now all you need is a green box and you're good to go.

Also, RBCP looks like he has a nice house. At least his kitchen area looks pretty sweet.
