Cthulhu Town DS

Yeah, I made a Cthulhu game... i've always wanted one..

coded it, made all sprites backgrounds etc, music is royalty free..

Trev posted this previously, that a good place to start. As far as is it easy I guess it depends what you compare it to. I like how the DS seems to be very well documented and you can try out what you make on real hardware with little or no hassle. However if you just want to make a game I'd stick with some sort of game making software so you can just get what's in your head out with out worrying about all the tricky coding bits. eg RPG Maker, Zelda Classic and others.

Yeah, they are MUCH less bloated than iPhone coding.  (how come no one made an iPhone app for PLA???) They are coded in C and use the a library of functions to do everything. 

I learned a LOT from PA_Lib's wiki, and what actually sparked my interest was a shitty .NET application for windows called DSGM.  Only use that piece of garbage if you have tons of patience and only want to make a quick game as Yauch says.

Once you get the hang of it you can figure out the code REALLY easily using the palib wiki link...

actually, i was just thinking, it would be so easy to make that application in Perl Tk, or even C.  All it does is create the main.c file after you specify a bunch of arguments e.g. (sprites, sounds, backgrounds) etc, and just parses the text/etc/ then compiles it to a.out then changes the name to <projectname>.nds

Just Released it tonight along with PayPhone DS, and some WeakNet Linux stuff..  Sorry it took a while, I had to beat the monkeys to code faster.

i dont think so, then again, I use an AceKard 2i which backgrounds and automatically patches DLDI i believe.
