Hacking WalMart (or other Stores') Customer-Computers
« on: February 03, 2010, 11:00:24 PM »
At WalMart, I went to one of the customer-computer hiring kiosks & decided to play around...
I was clicking around & finally got an old-school  "Task-Manager, Users, Performance.etc." mennu (the old ctrl+alt+del menu).
I got in using Ctrl+Alt+Tab+Shift+Esc (or something VERY similar)
There was only one program running (the Hiring Program), & Disabling any Processes or Logging any other Users on the network off was disabled (only one user didnt have his security set, so i logged him off, but he back on in 5min, eh): You may have more luck if your WalMart forgets to setup certain security rights.
The only fun thing i could do was send messages to certain computers/users: like telling the Sports department they were needed in aisle 2, & stuff like that.
I could also open the windows help file (multiple text documents) & print to which ever printer was available on the network: so i made sure to print 999 copies of the shortest text document (more wasted paper) to every printer on their network

Also, at OfficeMax, they have a printing section, called Impress where they have little tabletop computers for choosing designs & gift ides & shit: just double click one of the corners (forgot which one; think its the top-left), & the defsult password is the store number. (mine was like 607 or 670 or some shit).  This gave some interesting information, like customer receipts w/ email included, which would be great for some social-engineeringto get a cc or two). I was having some of those "Toilet Camera" stickers printed on their cheap gloss paper, so i only had limited time, but found some interesting features, like viewing the names, purchases, & emails of purchases made on certain dates, & that was the only feature i looked into before paying for my stickers.

*Anyone else got any other info/stories of "hacking" computers for customers at any other popular stores???

What he lacks in his arms he makes up for with his massive throbbing penis that pulses with every beat of his heart. Having a penis that large diverts the blood flow from less necessary parts of the body. An old wives tale was told that Arby once went into a coma for 7 months due to the fact that his penis diverted blood from his brain.

This incredibly massive penis is also what distroughts murd0c as his passions of jealousy that his boyfriend will never have a cock like Arby's.

also, you only have to hit CTRL+Shift+Esc to get taskmanager, or CTRL+DEL+ALT.  depending on what version of Windows they were using there are quite a lot of local user escalation exploits that can be done to gain administrator access.

Skunk,

All joking aside in total srsnss now, have you considered enlisting in the military? Not as a combatant or in direct support of combatants but in communications or intelligence or something else someone with more knowledge and experience could suggest. I bet it would be a great fit for you. From what I understand, the Air Forces version of basic training is the easiest, followed by the Army and National Guard, Navy and finally the Marines. I am fairly certain the Air Force has the easiest basic training but I might have the hierarchy wrong. I dunno how old you are but if you're in college already, you could get a degree, enlist with your education which will increase your rank and pay scale, and finish your degree or get another degree entirely on their dime. Anyway, it's something to consider and I would suggest talking about it with someone who is more knowledgeable.

This just in: Jenn supports getting Skunk killed by trrrrrists.

Actually, her suggestion isn't too bad. Since the US Military is one of the largest buyers and consumers of communications equipment, and since many companies now produce products from plans drawn up and held confidential by the DLA (that's the defense logistics agency, by the way) there's a good chance that you'd be working with state-of-the-art equipment and get tremendous experience that could be later applied to the private sector.

Also, if you aren't in college yet, you could always join the ROTC and then enroll in college. Usually, for plum assignments straight out of school, they will want you to go over on a tour as an enlisteded either before starting college or after your first year or two, but that also means you will get tuition and living expenses stipends while in school, a huge check after you get your commission to pay for an upgrade in living/relocation if needed, and while in school and participating in Reserve duties, you'll usually have a leadership position and get paid better than some career enlisteds. At least, this is what I've been told by everyone I know who did Army ROTC and completed within the last 2 years. Most left college as decent-ranking officers; however, they are also active duty doing 13-18 month tours overseas, and when they're not overseas they're assigned to random parts of the country. So, your call. I think SpaceBison and Yauch can both shed some light on this.

Nope, you're the first. No one has EVER done these things. You're a real pioneer, kinda like the Daniel Boone of the H/P world.

>implying I'm not a masochistic fitness nut who runs 15 miles for fun, benches 245lbs, can do 60 straight pushups (could do 90 when I was only 150lbs) and bicep curls 40lbs for 15 reps each hand

Actually it's not a half bad idea, but really working for a contractor such as my namesake (Lockheed) is probably overall better. It's something to think over though, thanks!

I believe the point they are trying to convey is that the military will make it much easier to get into a career like that. You can enlist, have Uncle Sam pay for your college, get trained in the whatever MOS corresponds to the civvie job you want, save a whole bunch of money, and get paid to learn your career. Plus, when you're in the service, you'll meet employees of defense contractors, and you can network. Impress them, and they'll keep your name handy when you discharge. I had a buddy of mine who was a GM2 (gunner's mate) and he had a couple of Raytheon engineers with him for a while. When he dropped his letter, guess where he got a job? Raytheon. Now, the dickhead gets paid good money to fire Paveways and Javelins all day.

Trust me, coming to an interview with a DD-214 can definitely give you the upper hand over a civilian applicant.
