Most New York City payphones are said to be programmed to reject incoming calls. Many payphones do, however, accept incoming calls, but only with this quick-handed (or just lucky) bit of timing needed to make a connection.

It is regular Verizon payphones i believe? I tried with other ones not ones on that corner and i never hear the first or second ring, although when i pick up payphone as soon as i hear beeps in cellphone i calling from it does connect me.
Now i MUST have some way to pick up phone right on time, placing hand on the phone does not help either. Where is ringer on payphone is located i want to try find it by touch.
