Yesterday I got a text message, apparently from Verizon Wireless, warning me that I would be exceeding my monthly minutes soon. I'm using to them txting me that they're about to shut off my account if I don't pay them, but they usually tell me in plain English. Here's the message I got yesterday, word for word:
Free msg from Verizon-
UR on track 2 exceed
your Anytime minutes
this month-reduce your
bill-Call 877-455-3674
ASAP! 2 stop txt msgs
from VZW, reply "X"
I thought it was a joke from a friend at first. But I checked my account online and, sure enough, I was about to exceed my minutes. Does anyone else get texts from their cellular carriers that look like they were written by a 13-year-old girl?
