Google's Contact Info
« on: September 25, 2006, 02:28:40 PM »
Has anyone done any preliminary scanning on Google's corporate contact number?  The limiting factor appears to be that once an extension is entered you have to enter the first few digits of the persons last name.

Most voice menu systems that ask you to dial in the first few letters of a person's name will accept just 1 letter.  So by doing this, you get a complete listing of every single person in the company.  I just tried that trick on Google, though, and they won't accept just 1 letter.  They won't even accept just 2.  Bastards.  I dialed 0 to talk to the operator and I asked for a name at random.  The name didn't exist there and she was very stingy with giving me any information.

One of my friends works for Google, and apparently they run a very tight ship.

I have someone legitimate I want to contact.  But as usual they are being fat about it.  A google adwords rep told me she couldn't access the company directory because she specializes in adwords.

Google is just a company, like all the others in the world. I dont see why calling them up should be such a hassle. Sure, you might only get a secretary but its still something!

A secretary is something to behold.  Most of them have degress and are more resourceful than you might think as they lead the charge against office buerocracy.  The people that are available for contact have no influence.
