OMG Mistake!

Being the nitpicky person I am, I figured I should point out a small error I found in my copy of the ebook.

Thanks for pointing it out.  I hope other people will use this thread to point out the other billions of mistakes they find in the book.  I'll correct them all and eventually release the book again with the mistakes fixed. 

And that'll make you all buy it again, right?

That's weird...that mistake doesn't appear in my proofs.  I don't have a real PLA book to see if that mistake is in all the copies.

Okay, this is weird...both of the mistakes that Godot pointed out don't exist in any of these copies I have.  The first error (PLA030.TXT) does have a dash after it and those weird garbage characters aren't in these other copies.  You're not fucking with me, are you Godot?  If not, I hope this isn't something that happens to random copies.

The good news is that I'm not as dumb as I thought since I'm not letting weird ascii characters slip by when I proofread.

Keep posting errors for me in this thread, though.

Maybe it is only in the ebook for some reason? This is in the ebook I got from Amazon. I haven't gotten my hard copy yet, so I can't compare.

Oh, the ebook!  I completely missed that you typed that at first.  That makes much more sense.  I'll look into that tonight and fix those errors.  The conversion to ebook caused a lot of crazy characters to show up and I had to correct a lot of it manually.  I guess a few slipped through.

Also, on-topic, I noticed on 3 or 4 pages throughout the book there were random tab spacings. I'll make sure to note where they are when I read it again.

If you bought the real book and you still want the ebook, it will cost you one photograph of your book.  Take a picture of your book doing something interesting, like balancing a table leg or maybe being read.  Email it to me at rbcp@phonelosers.org and ask for an ebook.  I've got PDF and ePub versions, so tell me which one.

I read the book straight through after receiving it on Wednesday, and I just stayed up all night reading it again in copy-editing mode.  It made me smile and laugh and be very very happy both times.  NOW I PICK APART YOUR HARD WORK.

p.41: "Help Me Rhonda" should be in quotes, Short Circuit 2 should be in italics.
p.175: The official spelling is "Weird Al" Yankovic, with the quotes.
p.197: The word is "off-center," not "off-centered."
p.207: "Atkins" should be capitalized.
p.209: The A-Team should be in italics.
p.268: "queer-boy" should be in quotes.
