Defcon 19 Planning

This year's Defcon is August 4th - 7th.  Who's planning to go?  I sure am.  I'm going to get my plane tickets hopefully this month, so I don't screw up and miss it like I did last year.

Every time one of these things show up I always say I hope to go but in the long run can never afford to make it due to various situations of life. And it always drives me fucking insane. It's more or less the "but you hate people! Yeah, but I love gatherings, isn't it ironic?" kind of thing. Always wanted to go to one of the conventions, either HOPE or Defcon. But I at least know I have a friend in Vegas who lives about twenty miles from the strip I can see or something.

So more or less, I'm working on obtaining funds to show up to Defcon this year. I may suck everyone's dick for a place to sleep on the floor, however.

Even if you have to sleep in the lobby or in the street, at least you get to go to Defcon.

Booked my plane ticket and hotel room. The Hilton Las Vegas had some pretty decent rates for the time frame I paid $45 a day for two nights and like $89 a day for 3 of the nights. It's a ways from the Rio but monorail stops right there and you can always find a cab in vegas

Since el_jefe thinks he's too cool to post on the PLA forums, I'll let you all know that he's booked his room and will be there.  Be sure to L O L at him for his lame takeover attempt on #phonelosers a few weeks ago.  Jammie will be there too and possibly r0xy.  This will be the biggest group of PLA people together EVER.  Bring your PLA books and get them signed by everyone.

Quick, someone buy plane tickets for RTF and Trevelyn and Legend.

I think they were $120 or $140 last year.  They go up every year or two, even though the attendance numbers keep increasing.
