I have a box of IBM compatible floppies. Problem is I still use 'em.

Also have a Pentium II laptop. 256mb of RAM. 4gb hard drive. Windows 98. Still use it.

Have a Apple Classic some where. If I find it, it's probably broken. You can have it.

Q, you should make regular trips to thrift stores.  They have old computer stuff there all the time.  I bought a Commodore 64 for $15 earlier this year for a friend.  I've never seen floppy disks at a thrift store, though.  Seems like eBay has a lot of them, though. Here's an auction for 49 disks for 99 cents, plus $8.00 shipping.

Though you could buy a flash drive with 50x the storage and no read/write errors for the same price.

Take a look in the electronic recycle bins at Target or Best Buy.  You'd be surprised to find out how little of the stuff is even broken.  In fact, I regularly sell cell phones from it for at least $20 apiece on Craigslist.
