That's an awesome ad, but I know some phones have trouble scanning those things when you put too much data into them. My iPhone was always a pain in the ass with QR codes, but my Android reads them all perfectly.
I wonder how many people actually scan those things. I know a ton of people own smartphones now, but it seems like the average person would never bother to even download a QR code scanner. Whenever I need to check out info on a product in a store, I'll usually type in the information manually into the Amazon or eBay apps to get reviews and stuff. Scanning a code in a store guarantees that you'll be taken to the actual product page where only nice things are said about it.
I love the idea of haxing QR codes in stores, but I have my doubts about them ever getting used.
