I really want to paint OMG HAX on top of a building, just to see it on Google.  How often do these satellite images get updated?

I think, about once every few years

My brother looked up his house, and there was a strange white smudge on his property. The pic was obviously from the summertime, because tyhe trees had leaves on them. He deduced that it must be a pic of his American Eskimo dog named Casper, frolicking in the back yard.

My brother's dog Casper died like 2 years ago.

I think its more than a few years when I put in my postcode I discovered half the estate wasnt built in it. It must be at least 6 or 7 years out of date

It depends on the area.  A friend of mine looked at his grandmother's house and saw a van his dad rented in the driveway, so he was able to narrow it down to the weekend the picture was taken... I think it turned out to be like 6 months.  Then there are cases like cop's that are a sew years or more.  I imagine it has to do with how populous the area, since (from what I understand) they're mostly taken not by satellite, but by aircraft flying over.  More populous the area == more frequently flown over, probably.

On google maps? What state do you live in? Or, if you're not in the U.S. then what area of what country?

When I look at my old house in Illinois, I still see my red Dodge parked in front.  The red Dodge that I got rid of in 2003.  I also see RijilV's car out there, which tells me which week that the picture was taken.

My parent's house is great as it's a picture of the house with absolutely no siding on it from when they were re-doing the house. We're now branded on the Internet as hillbillies with a half-torn down house.
