no EXIF info to help out, at least not according to the plug in for chrome..

never heard of the store, so i thought that might help narrow it down, but it appears that they have locations across the country http://www.joann.com/joann/home/home.jsp

the store next to it is no help - "Armed Forces Career Center" that could be anywhere..

only possible licence plate that i can see is on the gold car on the right, not sure if it is
white, or that is just the glare.. 

if i were to waste any further time with this i would start with rural areas, because
1. he felt safe enough to leave the window open with the GPS still in the car
(although it is possible the 1 person that i see walking in the picture is the driver)
2. the dirt splash on the truck, likely caused by being on a dirt road - although it could be old since the truck has probably never been cleaned.

i only see one person, possibly 2 in the photo

That picture and its story has been all over the blogs this week.  That's the first time I've seen his phone number on it though.  Too bad it's just an internal UC phone.
