No, didn't you think that she was bluffing maybe??

I hardly think that you can pick up that from a regular ID

Did you configure your CID settings to display something OTHER than that screen name? What does it display by default? Is this a new anti-fraud measure to help cut down on harassment of services?

I'm not too familiar with Skype, so forgive me if that's not a possibility.

No! I would show the pic, but I would be revealing my skype username. It didn't show no number on her caller id, just my screen name.

So you never set up a CID display #? Maybe that's why it's doing that?

You should try calling other people with CID. Try both land lines and cell phones and check your results. Get carriers for the different phones you call so you can find out if it's a carrier specific thing, or just because you never set up a number to "call from".

Post your findings. It could be fun.

I've also called myself and get the standard skype number.

Do you think it could be because I invited her number into a skype conference?

we need someone with AT&T/SBC service to try this. SBC was the first company to get access to the T-Mobile CNAM database. Maybe Skype set-up their own CNAM database.

Hmmm... it could also be some other stuff.

Cut and paste that into your address bar. The site doesn't allow hotlinking.
