Hi everybody!

Well as many of you know I work in a call centre and among other things I take care of the phone lines sometimes, and doing that yesterday I've got a call from some US person claiming that he was a Soldier based in Iraq and he had some problems with one of his accounts with my company; until there everything was fine but then I've realized that the number in my ID was from the States, I can't remember the number exactly but I asked him and he said that he had no idea.
It wasn't a prank call I think because he didn't do any joke or try to get any details from anybody, in fact I've got his so my question is if anybody here knows why the offshore military bases use an American line? Or if it was just some crazy person…

nope I've asked him that among other usual stuff, he was calling me from the base phone.

okay, it was a MITM attack then, someone was filtering his calls via a special routing technique only used by US military for ALL monitoring calls coming from Iraq.  I bet this is all made possible by the cool new "Patriot Act" and the tragic day of 711. nah, im kidding, but maybe they DO monitor calls from dedicated switches here to listen to all calls coming from the middle east maybe??? otherwise, I would pjear.

About the monitoring, well hope not, he was asking me for a porn access...
