Curious about the security problems in your own town? Or maybe you just want to meet some locals who are into the same shenanigans as you are. PLA State Sites have existed for a decade now. They're used to highlight all the phoneloserish things that a person can find where you live. Here are the PLA sites that still exist on the net:
http://www.phonelosers.org/plasites/The goal of this board is to allow PLAers to create threads for their local areas instead of web sites. You can still submit PLA state sites to be listed on that page. But if you don't feel like putting in that much effort, post a thread here instead. You thread can include things like pay phone numbers, scanner frequencies, phone number scans, interesting phone numbers, links to local websites, and anything else you can think of that might appeal to PLAers.
Here's a few guidelines to get started:
- Only make one thread for your local area. Title it with your city, state, area code, or some other bit of information that will make it easy for people to know what area you're in.
- Don't make a thread that says "Here's a thread for PLA ______. There's nothing here yet but I'll put some really cool information here someday!" Just wait until you actually have something to put in there.
- Keep the first post in your thread updated with all the information. Posts after the first thread can be used to talk about things in the original thread. You can even post updates in your thread. But try to keep all the important local information in that first post.
That's all I can think of for now. I guess if someone has an actual PLA site, they could post some of the highlights of their site in a thread and make a link to the thread. If anyone else has any suggestions, post them in here.
