They've done some hilarious calls where they confirm that the hotel guest has ordered a large amount of porn. Those are the kinds of calls I like because sometimes they get an indignant idiot who blows up way out of proportion. And normal people act rationally and are basically unaffected.

The Movie theatre prank calls that the PLA did could be seen in the same light as some of the calls that Prank Net does by some people. A lot of people were very angry and police were called to the movie theatre were they not.

I haven't listened to the movie theater calls in a while, but if I remember correctly, the PLA only hax0red teh Gibson and and messed around with the customers (giving wrong info, yelling at them etc).

Pranknet has people throwing stuff out the window, fisting themselves and doing other stuff to humiliate themselves. (The prankee not Dex).

The way I see it, PrankNet is like a big balloon. They swell up and get all big and bright and like fly away~~ and everyone waits to see what big thing they'll do next. If they tone it down, and move to something more PLA-level in obnoxiousness, their balloon will deflate and they will just lie limp on the ground. Has anyone ever been excited about a limp balloon?

You cant compare what PLA did in the movie theater to someone busting out a window. This Dex guy seems to have a "God" Complex. He can hide behind skype and the fact hes in canada. Its going to be interesting to see when someone from his chat room guest busted and he gets thrown under the bus.  The shit he was doing back in 2000/2001 was funny, the vandalism that this guy has done has definitely stood up to the "Canadians Have No Common Sense" theory.  Keep posting your pranks, keep trying to get more ppl in your channel, Your Archive is getting big. Dig a lil deeper and what do you get?

I'm wondering if whoever started this Dex/movie theater calls comparison thinks that what I said in that episode of PLA Radio is actually true.  Me and murd0c weren't actually beige boxing from the dumpster, gunshots were never fired and we never did time in jail over it.  It was a little more tame than all that.

Depends on what balloon is a metaphor for. If it's penis then yes. Murd0c has.

I know that you were not in a dumpster and gunshots were not fired but in some of the calls that were from the manager of the movie theatre she said that cops were at her theatre. I was just trying to show the people that think Prank Net is bad that you could draw a line between the some of the calls that Prank Net does and some of the call that the PLA has done. And yes I know smashing a window is not the same as making someone angry on the phone but what if one of the people had gone down there and bashed a movie theatre employee or a Wal Mart employee could had been hurt by someone that thinks that they were the person that said they kick their ass.

Prank Net is not just about breaking window people they do many other pranks.

The thing with PN and Crew is that they have been vandalizing properties by exploiting systems and people. We'res the money going to come from for those repairs, the compensation that companies must shell out to the customers who were effected by the prank. Who's jobs on the line at this point? Yes there are common sense factors with these people  yah we from the outside go, DUH You stupid fuck you should have known better. But bottom line is that these people were exploited, They dont have a way to verify that these people are infact from the front desk.  The folks at the front desk dont know whats going on when they transfer, Yes they should be verifying the name of the guest, but that again turns in to another exploit.. Its a catch 22 with these scenarios.
Most of the these people are working for almost Min wage, if they get a call from someone stating they are from corporate they are more than likely not going to question it. There are some serious protocols that are going to be revamped because of this.  What's going to happen if someone is seriously hurt? Whos Insurance is going to cover it? What lawsuits will stem from it? What If Someone is Killed?

So, erm, I guess I'm the only one left who doesn't see any real problem with what Dex is doing? Please tell me this isn't the case...

This isn't the case.

What If Someone is Killed?
Someone dies less than every second anyway. Maybe they are being saved from a horrid death of being captured, put in a big hole, and forced to put lotion of on their skin every once in a while.
Atonal apples.

Remember the scene in Fight Club where Tyler Durden holds a gun to a clerk's head and assures him that he's about to die, but then lets him go if he promises to improve his life?  He says afterwards, "Tomorrow will be the most beautiful day of Raymond K. Hessel's life. His breakfast will taste better than any meal you and I have ever tasted."

That's what Dex does.  He introduces tragic situations to people which make them later appreciate the non-tragicness of their regular, mundane lives.  I bet guests at those hotels can truly appreciate the way that they're not sprayed in the face with water each day now.  And managers of those hotels absolutely love the way that they're able to sleep through almost every night of their lives when they're not rousted from bed to hear that their hotels have been destroyed by a prank caller.  And those front desk clerks must think that they're jobs are a piece of fucking cake now.  I mean, some asshole customer comes up to the desk now to bitch about something and the clerk can just smile and think to themselves, "Man, this isn't nearly as bad as the time I had to throw shit through all the windows to stop the fire alarms.  To appreciate a good life you need to experience what a tragic one is like.  Most people never get this privilege.

When you think about it, Dex is doing our country a public service.  He's raising the morale of the common man.  He should be getting paid good money for what he does, but he does it for free and doesn't expect a thing in return except for a little admiration from us.  Shame on you, people who say he's a menace to society!  I say more people should be just like Dex and spend hours a day, volunteering their time and energy to a worthy cause like this.  How many hours have you volunteered this month?  Who's the burden on society now!?!

Thank you, Dex.  Thank you.

How much in damages are you causing now per call? $50,000?

Did you listen to the call? All he did was pull the fire alarm. Secondly, recognize that PrankNET is a chat room full of people who do pranks. Don't try to say that if there's damaged caused, I'm the one that does it everytime. Dont' try to act like you know the exact figure for any damage that's caused during a prank call. Understand that there are plenty of calls that originate from PrankNET that don't involve damage.

I remember in one of those news articles a cop said charges would be filed if they find out who made the call.

rbcp, just because they said my name in the news, doesn't mean that I did it. My name is always thrown out there. I'm not saying I haven't done any fucked up calls, of course I have.. but my name is always gets thrown around and people just assume i'm the culprit. For example you say "if they find out who made the call charges will be filed" -- ok, so let them go ahead and  actually reverse trace the call, they will see it has nothing to do with me half the time. Again, not making myself some sort of saint. Just saying, people really need to take a step back and realize that unless you're there hanging out in the room, you really don't understand know the whole gist of what's going on and you can't really speak on it.

Fuck, the guy fisted himself and he pulled the fire alarm. That's all he did and acidpez wants to cry about it. Boo hoo. I hope it was his father who I got to fist fuck himself.
