hey Reverend Greed, I don't understand how that worked at all. It's a machine that reads the ticket right? How would it be able to miss read it like that after finding it a loser?

I believe that he is assuring her so much or even somewhat hypnotising her so that when she sees the machine she just thinks it's a win.

yeah, I know that when he hits the wall with his hand it has something to do with breaking her thought process about it but I honestly think it has to be set up. Even if she puts it in by hand wouldn't it come up with the same results?

I guess he just makes her do it manually then with that hand slap against the wall, that breaks her thought process and she pays out? Hmmmm...that's a pretty big chance to take with money on the line, hoping they mess up, but then that's where finding your mark comes into play I guess.
